Nth Degree Private Dining Lunch at Santo Remedio
17 December 2024
Nth Degree hosted an exclusive private lunch on the top floor of Santo Remedio. Michelin Guide recommended, Santo Remedio is a modern Mexican restaurant inspired by the country’s neighbourhood eateries, known as Taquerias and Fondas. These places use fresh market produce to craft seasonal dishes, often based on family recipes passed down through generations.
The upstairs bar and dining area is a tribute to Mexico’s traditional cantinas, creating an authentic and lively atmosphere.
Founded by Natalie and Edson, Santo Remedio was born out of their desire to introduce Londoners to the diverse and vibrant flavours of Mexican cuisine. Their menu reflects the food they grew up with—dishes enjoyed at home, in markets, in taquerias, and at family celebrations. Mexican cuisine is so unique and rich in flavour that it has been recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The restaurant’s name, Santo Remedio (meaning “Holy Remedy”), highlights the significance of food in Mexican culture, where it is considered a source of comfort and healing in almost any situation.
At Santo Remedio, they source specialty ingredients directly from Mexico, employ traditional cooking methods, and pair their dishes with a selection of Tequila and Mezcal cocktails.
Natalie and Edson’s restaurants are also beautifully designed, featuring artwork and décor from Mexican artisans and craftspeople, carefully chosen during their travels across Mexico.
