Embark on a culinary journey through China with Chef Tong Chee Hwee, marking his much-anticipated return to the London dining scene. Gouqi’s dishes, crafted with techniques and ingredients from across China, offer an exceptional fine dining experience designed for sharing.
Chef Tong trained in Singapore under Cantonese master Chef Chin Hon Yin before working in Kuala Lumpur and at the Ritz Carlton Singapore. In 2001, he was recruited by Alan Yau to lead Hakkasan in London, where he secured the UK’s first Michelin star for a Chinese restaurant.
Under the guidance of Alan Tang, an experienced Restaurant Director with a background in Michelin-starred establishments and luxury brands, Gouqi continues to set new standards in contemporary Chinese cuisine. The central London venue features a tasting menu, seasonal à la carte options, elegant interiors, a kitchen-view dining area, and private dining rooms.
